Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about ½ Back Wax.
Ametrine Salon's ½ Back Wax takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on hair density and whether you need upper or lower back waxing. We include pre-cleanse and soothing aftercare so total appointment time may be slightly longer.
Some sensitivity is normal, but our estheticians use fast technique, skin tension, and gentle pre-wax cleansers to lessen pain. We also offer calming post-wax products and breathing tips to help you stay comfortable throughout the service.
Exfoliate gently 48–72 hours prior and avoid heavy lotions or sun exposure. Hair should be roughly 1/4 inch long for best results. If you're on retinoids or certain medications, tell us beforehand to adjust treatment safely.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours. Apply the soothing balm we provide, wear loose clothing, and exfoliate gently after 4–5 days to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
Most clients return every 4–6 weeks based on hair growth and personal preference. Regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth and easier maintenance, so we'll recommend a schedule tailored to your hair cycle and comfort.
We can wax many sensitive skin types but may postpone service for active sunburn, open wounds, or recent chemical peels. Inform us about medications or skin treatments so we can provide safe alternatives or adjustments.
